Dear Majura FC Players, Coaches, Managers and Families,
The season is drawing to a close with only two rounds left for most teams. A few lucky teams will qualify for the play-offs and finals and we wish them well. This is the time of year to turn our thoughts to the coaches and players who performed well during the year and nominate them for awards.
The Players Player award for U12-U18 teams
Coaches and managers please get your team to think about who they want to vote for the players player award. This is a players only vote where they get to pick the person they feel performed well throughout the season. This does not have to be the best player or the top goal scorer, it could be the player who turned up to training week-in-week-out or the player who encouraged and supported their team mates. Coaches and managers can collect their players vote and hand out the award on the last day of the season.
The Coach of the Year award
Managers and families this is your chance to nominate your coach for the coach of the year award if you feel they did a great job this season. Your nomination needs to include your rationale as to why your coach deserves this award. It is not necessarily the winningest coach who receives the award. Consider whether your coach instilled a love of football in their players, did they challenge and encourage their players to develop, were they supportive of each player and were they a good ambassador for Majura FC. The winner of the coach of the year will be our club nomination for the ACT Junior Football Coach of the Year. More information about how to nominate can be found here.
Please send your nominations to info@majura.org.au Nominations will be accepted up to COB Monday 9 September 2019.
Good luck to all players and coaches.
Kurt Petrunia
Majura FC President

Coaches and Managers need to return all playing shirts and training equipment to Majura Clubhouse on:

Please ensure playing shirts are washed and in complete sets. Please do not return incomplete sets unless you are certain a shirt has been lost. If any shirts are missing then players will be invoiced for the shirt. Please wash bibs as well from your training kits and place in a separate bag. If you can spare an hour to help sort returned gear then please contact Jo
No Majura playing shirts can be used for futsal teams. If you need futsal shirts then we do have some older shirt sets you can borrow. We ask for a $50 refundable deposit per set of futsal shirts.
